Drug abuse is the major issue not just in South Africa but nationwide.It is affecting people of all age but the one`s who are affected  the most is youth because of peer pressure,they see their peers doing drugs and they think its the right thing to do others take drugs because they want to belong to certain group of people.Using drugs can destroy you as an individual because you will end up engaging in criminal,demanding money and becoming prone to contracting HIV/AIDS because you doing things under drug influence your mind is not functioning very well.The most important thing to remember is that,no matter how hopeless the situation seems,it is never too late to turn things around there is help out there you can also get your normal life back and take full control of it.

Creating awareness

Having campaigns on social media whereby we educate people about the danger of using drugs and where can you get help if you need one.On social media you will get all the information that you need and it will reach a large number of audience because lot of people are on social media they can easily access and share the information with their friends or people who needs the information the most.

Disadvantage

Young people are using drugs because they see their role models on social media using it and they think it is a good thing to do of which its not.I think that is the biggest advantage of social media because influential people post everything on social media whether it is good or bad.
