In most cases men do not regularly test this cancer because they are not well informed about it,so by the time it is tested it has reached its final stages or it has spread rapidly. advantages of social media
- Social media is a popular platform that is used globally and it spreads information and updated swiftly. So it is a huge advantage to men when they see updates and awareness about prostate cancer through social media.
- It is an influential platform to educate and share important information about prostate cancer through campaigns such as set up for DoBlue and NPHM and theres many more.
- There could be Tedtalk about the prostate cancer just to put men on the light.
Disadvantages of social media
- As much as social media is useful and trusted, it can be deceiving at times and sometimes people post false information. like someone posting that there is no treatment for prostate cancer whereas several studies discovered that it can be treated.
- Another disadvantage is that what people comment and write on social media about poor service and ill-treatment of a certain hospital or clinic that specializes in prostate cancer would cause men not to want to go and because of bad reviews it would cause a bad reputation for that particular establishment.
